Once frequented by Cezanne, Picasso, Braque or Modigliani, La Palette continues to count local art gallerists among its clientèle and remains less touristy than neighboring Saint Germain stars such as Café de Flore. In the spirit of its 1920s decoration and sparce lighting, you can spend as long as you wish without fear of being disturbed. Quality-wise, the coffee is fairly basic. It will get most lively in the late afternoon on Friday and Saturday.
